Visas and Visa Overstayers
Approximately 11 million visas were granted in 2023, representing a 34 percent increase from 2019. There are many different kinds (immigrant, work, study, tourist, etc.), but most have an expiration date and require the holder to leave the country upon expiration.
Many don't leave when they should. Think of Sabry Soliman, the Boulder, Co., terrorist. He was a visa overstayer just like four of the 19 hijackers involved in the September 11th attacks. This means they were in the United States after their authorized period of stay had expired. But, why? How could this be? Why are we not enforcing this requirement?
I feel extremely naive because until the Boulder event, it never occurred to me that Biden and his crew could have abused the visa program like they did the amnesty program and the border.
It makes me wonder how many Solimans might be in the country and what their intentions might be.
Thank you, Joe, for creating an invasion of undesirables the likes of which the world has never seen. What a wonderful legacy you have left; you will be remembered for this for many years as the rest of us try to deal with the travesty.
